First Saturday Auction Held with Parts Auction, 4W Oyama Auction, and Expansion to 14 Lanes

　Starting on Saturday, September 5, 2026, Arai Auction changed the auction day for the 4W Oyama Auction from Thursday to Saturday. In conjunction with this change, the number of auction lanes was expanded from 10 to 14. In addition, the new “Parts Auction (Truck),” featuring truck-related parts, was launched as a Saturday auction.

　By bringing passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles together on the same auction day, the new format creates more selling opportunities for consignors and more sourcing opportunities for buyers.

　

　At the ceremony held on the day of the event, Atsushi Ogomori, Executive Director, Auction Company at Arai Shoji Co., Ltd., commented on the new auction format as follows:“Starting today, the 4W Oyama Auction has moved to Saturdays, alongside the Van & Truck Auction and the newly established Parts Auction (Truck). At the same time, the number of auction lanes has been expanded to 14. Since the 4W Oyama Auction was launched in 1987, it has grown from two lanes to four, six, eight, and ten lanes, evolving in response to changing times and the needs of our members. Today marks another major milestone with the expansion to 14 lanes, the move of the 4W Oyama Auction to Saturdays, and the launch of the new Parts Auction.Rather than simply following changes in the market, we will continue to address the challenges faced by each of our customers, provide more convenient and highly specialized services, and work to create new value.”

　Takayuki Hori, General Manager of the Parts Auction, also delivered the following remarks:“Thanks to the support of all our members, we are pleased to begin a new chapter today with the launch of the Parts Auction.Going forward, we will continue working to create an environment that makes it easier to both sell and buy in response to the needs of our members. Our goal is to develop the Parts Auction into a marketplace that provides even greater value to our members’ businesses.”

　▪ A total of 6,707 items were consigned across all Saturday auctions at the inaugural event.

　Under the new auction format launched on September 5, a total of 6,707 items were consigned across all Saturday auctions, achieving a sales rate of 68.5%.The Parts Auction also delivered strong results, with 456 items consigned and a sales rate of 73.7%. Among these, 51 items were consigned to the “Body Manufacturer & Parts Corner,” which mainly features bumpers, mirrors, headlights, and other related parts, achieving a sales rate of 96.0%.Going forward, Arai Auction will continue expanding the range of truck-related parts it handles in order to better respond to the increasingly diverse needs of its members.

　

　▪ Parts Auction is held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

　Going forward, the Parts Auction will be held twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday. Tuesday auctions will mainly feature machinery-related parts for construction machinery, agricultural machinery, forklifts, and other equipment, while Saturday auctions will focus on truck-related parts, providing broader opportunities for the distribution of a wide range of parts.Looking ahead, Arai Auction will continue to expand its locations and operational capabilities, broaden its product offerings and services, and pursue nationwide expansion and increased market share. Through these initiatives, we will strive to provide an auction marketplace with even greater expertise and convenience for our members.
