Parts Party: Networking Event Held for Members from Afghanistan
Arai Auction, operated by Arai Shoji Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Ryozo Arai), held a networking event on October 9, 2026, in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, with members from Afghanistan who use the “Parts Auction” service. Approximately 50 people, including members and company employees, participated in the event. The company expressed its gratitude for the members’ ongoing business and deepened ties between members and employees through an exchange of views facilitated by a Persian interpreter.

■Background—Gratitude and Networking with Members Who Support “Parts Auction”
Since September 2026, Arai Auction has been independently organizing “Parts Auction,” which specializes in used parts for construction machinery, trucks, and other vehicles. Our members from Afghanistan have supported the growth of the Parts Auction through ongoing business transactions, such as dismantling trucks and listing parts like engines for sale. In the company’s 70th fiscal year, they accounted for approximately half of the transactions on the listing side of the Parts Auction, playing a significant role in its growth.
This exchange event was held to express our gratitude to these members and to listen to their concerns and requests—which they often do not have sufficient opportunity to discuss at the auction venue—with the aim of deepening mutual understanding.
■Scenes from the Event—Awards and Exchange of Views
At the opening of the event, Atsushi Ogomori, our Director and Head of the Auction Company, delivered a speech expressing gratitude for our members’ ongoing business.

In addition, the event featured presentations on the history of our parts business, members’ transaction records, and future plans. We also held an awards ceremony to recognize members who have contributed to our business, as well as a raffle, providing an opportunity for members and employees to interact.

Among the participating members was someone who kindly assisted with Persian interpretation, facilitating the exchange of views between attendees and our employees. We listened to concerns regarding day-to-day transactions and requests regarding venue operations, and we also discussed ways to enhance parts information and collaborate to ensure smoother transactions.
■ Future Direction—Continuing Culturally and Linguistically Sensitive Exchange
Arai Auction will continue to create opportunities for in-depth interaction with members from various countries to deepen our mutual understanding of each other’s cultures and perspectives. Furthermore, we will utilize the feedback received through these exchanges to create a more user-friendly venue and enhance our services.
