Arai Auction 4W Oyama Holds “Final Thursday Auction”
On Thursday, August 27, Arai Auction 4W Oyama held its “Final Thursday Auction,” with 843 vehicles consigned, 724 vehicles sold, and a sales rate of 85.9%.
At the ceremony, Juichi Arai, Chairman of the Board of Arai Shoji Co., Ltd., delivered the following remarks:“Today marks a major milestone for Arai Auction, as the Thursday 4W Oyama Auction, where our auction business began, reaches its final day with the 1,896th auction.Over the 39 years since Arai Auction was established, we have continued to grow together with our members, handling an average of approximately 3,000 vehicles per auction and, at times, as many as 5,000 vehicles. At our very first auction, we experienced a system failure that left approximately 300 vehicles unsold. We made the bold decision to purchase all of those vehicles ourselves. This became an opportunity for people to see Arai, a newcomer to the auction industry at the time, as a company willing to take on bold and unconventional challenges. Today, the market is more competitive than ever. Nevertheless, by strengthening our comprehensive auction operations across a wide range of categories, including van and truck, construction machinery, and agricultural machinery, we have built the Oyama Auction Site into what it is today and have continued to embrace change. Now, as we pursue further ‘Shinka’ in response to changing times, we have decided to integrate the auction currently held on Thursdays into our Saturday operations and embark on a new challenge. Through this transformation, we will accelerate new initiatives that better respond to the evolving needs of our customers. One principle, however, will never change: our commitment to being an auction company that always puts our members first, a philosophy we have upheld since our founding.Going forward, all of our staff will continue to take on challenges with determination, both in Japan and overseas, without fear of failure, so that we can contribute even further to the growth and success of our members’ businesses.”
To express our gratitude to the members who have supported the Thursday 4W Oyama Auction over the past 39 years, we offered complimentary lemonade from the specialty lemonade shop “Neko ni Lemon” and waffles from “HASHLE,” which is operated by our company, at special booths during the event. Many of the members who attended enjoyed the refreshments as part of the final Thursday auction.
Our entire team will continue to work toward improving the convenience of our auction sites and further enhancing our services. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and patronage of Arai Auction.
