Report on the “ARAI FUTURE VISION -Shinka-” Event
Arai Auction, operated by Arai Shoji Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture), held “ARAI FUTURE VISION -Shinka-” at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Approximately 600 guests attended the event, where we expressed our sincere gratitude for their continued support and shared our vision of “Shinka”: “Transformation(進化)” through Improving Convenience, “Deepening(深化)” through enhanced expertise, and “New Value(新価)” through the creating new value.
In his opening remarks, Ryozo Arai, President and CEO of Arai Shoji Co., Ltd., stated:“Thank you very much for joining us today despite your busy schedules and the hot weather.Looking around the venue, I see Japanese and international guests gathered together in one place. This truly represents the business model we provide and reflects what Arai Auction is today.For the past 39 years, we have operated our auctions based on this model of providing a business platform that connects people across borders. Next year, we will celebrate our 40th anniversary, and as we look ahead to our 50th and even 100th anniversaries, we hope to continue contributing, in whatever way we can, to the growth and success of your businesses.Under our theme, ‘Bringing the Value of Japan to the World,’ we will continue to do our utmost to create new business opportunities together with all of you.”
We were also deeply honored to welcome as distinguished guests H.E. Prof. Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Japan, and H.E. Mr. Abdul Hameed, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Japan .H.E. Prof. Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Japan, delivered the following remarks:“I would like to express my deepest respect for Arai Shoji Co., Ltd. and its remarkable journey of continuous evolution and value creation over more than a century since its founding in 1920.We greatly cherish the special friendship that has been built between your company and Sri Lanka. Your generous support, including the donation of bicycles for students and assistance with recovery efforts following last year’s disaster, provided great hope and encouragement to the people of Sri Lanka during difficult times.I sincerely wish Arai Shoji continued evolution and even greater success over the next 100 years, and extend my heartfelt wishes for the good health and prosperity of everyone here today.”
H.E. Mr. Abdul Hameed, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Japan, delivered the following remarks:“I would like to express my deep respect for Arai Shoji Co., Ltd. and its continued evolution while supporting social infrastructure across a wide range of fields, including automobiles, construction machinery, and logistics.We greatly value the special relationship of friendship that has been built between your company and Pakistan. During the floods in Pakistan, the prompt and heartfelt support extended by all of you became a great source of hope for the people of Pakistan.I am also very pleased and proud that many entrepreneurs with roots in Pakistan are actively engaged in business through your company, serving as a bridge between our two countries with their expertise and commitment to transparency.Looking ahead, I sincerely hope that together we can continue to build and strengthen a solid partnership that goes beyond commercial transactions and is founded on mutual trust, quality assurance, and social responsibility.”
At the event, guests enjoyed a variety of dishes, including Muslim-friendly menu options, while leaders from each business section presented Arai Auction’s initiatives under the three pillars of “Shinka”: “Transformation” through greater convenience, “Deepening” through enhanced expertise, and “New Value” through the creation of new possibilities.The presentations introduced several initiatives beginning in September 2026, including the launch of Parts Auction as an independent auction, further strengthening the specialization of the Machinery Auction, changing the auction day for the 4W Oyama Auction, and expanding the Oyama Auction Site to 14 lanes.
