Arai Auction Van & Truck 37th Anniversary Auction
Arai Auction Van & Truck held its 37th Anniversary Auction on Saturday, July 25, 2026, with 6,427 vehicles consigned, 4,172 vehicles sold, and a sales rate of 64.9%.
At the ceremony, Juichi Arai, Chairman and Director of Arai Shoji Co., Ltd., delivered the following remarks:“Thanks to the continued support of our members, we are truly grateful to celebrate the 37th anniversary of the opening of this auction venue today.Despite the extreme heat, a great many people have joined us, and we received 6,427 vehicle consignments—far exceeding our previous record. One of our most recent initiatives has been our expansion into the Kyushu region. We have established a new vehicle yard in Tachiarai Town, near Tosu, to strengthen vehicle consignments from across Kyushu. More than 110 vehicles have already been consigned from the area for today’s auction, and we will continue to accelerate these efforts.
Furthermore, as part of our efforts to strengthen our operations in response to changing times, the Oyama 4W Vehicle Auction, currently held on Thursdays, will move to Saturdays beginning in September. At the same time, we will expand the number of auction lanes from the current 10 to 14, creating a system capable of consistently handling approximately 7,000 vehicles in a single day.
All of our staff will continue working diligently to provide a marketplace where our members can achieve even greater profitability.”
For the auction, we received a large number of consignments from across Japan through each of our auction venues, as well as from the newly launched Tosu-Tachiarai Yard. As a result, we achieved the highest number of consignments in our history.
As part of the event, our popular “Successful Sale & Purchase Grand Prize Draw” was held at the Oyama, Bayside, Nagoya, and Kansai auction venues. Visitors also enjoyed the shopping market and complimentary food stalls between auction sessions.
In addition, as a new initiative, we set up an information booth at the Oyama venue for JTP, Japan’s only recycling organization specializing in trucks.
All of our staff will continue striving to improve the convenience of our auction venues and further enhance our services. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and patronage.
